Who we are

White Ribbon UK is part of the global White Ribbon movement to end men’s violence against women and was formed in 2004. Today, White Ribbon UK is recognised across England and Wales as being the leader in primary prevention of men’s violence against women and girls.

Our structure

White Ribbon UK is a charitable organisation, made up of individuals and organisations who want to create a world where women and men are equal — and where women and girls can live without the fear of men’s violence.

Our team works remotely across England to campaign, raise awareness and educate the public about the root causes of violence perpetuated by men towards women. We’re only able to reach as many people as we do because of the work being done in communities in England and Wales to challenge sexist and misogynistic cultures by encouraging and embodying positive masculinity.

WHITE RIBBON UK TEAM

Our current team members work remotely from Birmingham, Lake District, Leeds, London, Manchester and Sheffield. Whenever possible, we collaborate in person at our main office in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire.

CHANGE MAKERS

White Ribbon UK Ambassadors and Champions spread our mission in England and Wales.

Our Ambassadors are leaders for men and boys while our Champions encourage greater safety, support and celebration of women’s lived experiences.

member ORGANISATIONS

1% of the UK workforce belongs to a White Ribbon Accredited Organisation.

Accreditation ensures organisations take a strategic approach to ending harmful cultures that prevent women and girls from realising their full potential because of a fear of violence.
