Michael Flood
On Tuesday 9th September, from 11am to 12pm, we were joined live by Professor Michael Flood, one of the world’s leading voices on men, masculinities, gender, and violence prevention.
Michael spoke about how we can better understand the role of men in ending gender-based violence, how to engage boys and men in prevention, and why tackling harmful ideas about masculinity is key.

Dan Egg is a theatre maker, journalist and content producer whose work explores masculinity, violence and queer culture. Before working in the arts, he spent several years as a child protection social worker and in the domestic violence sector, experience that directly informs his debut solo theatre show MANBOX. In this exclusive conversation with White Ribbon UK CEO Lynne Elliot, Dan will talk about the making of MANBOX, what inspired it, and MANBOX’s central theme of masculinity in today’s society.

Voices for Change had its series debut on 24th July with none other than Jackson Katz, author of Every Man and a pioneer in the movement to prevent gender-based violence. Katz chatted with White Ribbon UK CEO, Lynne Elliot, for a straight-talking conversation about his book, why men can’t stay on the sidelines, and what real allyship in preventing violence against women and girls looks like.
