CHILDREN AND YOUTH

By working with schools, colleges, higher education and youth organisations, we support young people to identify the behaviours and inequalities that lead to gender inequality. Our work aims to empower children and youth by giving them the skills they need to challenge inequalities and change harmful norms. We can all can be a change maker, at any age!

Our White Ribbon Accreditation programme is available for all schools. Schools can also become one of our Supporter Organisations.  If you would like White Ribbon awareness raising materials these are available to purchase from our shop.

Why do we say children and youth? The World Health Organization (WHO) defines “youth” as being between the ages of 15 and 24 . Our primary prevention works with both primary and secondary school-aged students.

LEARNING RESOURCES

White Ribbon UK Learning Resources

Our new White Ribbon Learning Resource, Building Gender Equality for young people, is now available! You can watch an introductory session with the expert practitioners involved in the development of this resource here to learn more about this tool.

About this resource

This resource will help educators working with young people to explain the concepts of gender and inequality. The aim of this tool is to enable young people to recognise the behaviours and attitudes that perpetuate gender inequality.

With this resource, we want young people to feel empowered to challenge existing cultures that encourage negative masculine traits to dominate — putting the lives of women and girls at risk.

BUILDING UPON EXISTING RSHE CURRICULUM

We’re campaigning for this resource to be used in classrooms across England and Wales to build upon the current RSHE curriculum. Help us reach even more young people by sharing this tool with education providers in your area.

ACCESSING this resource

We're a small charity with a big cause — to stop men's violence before it starts. The questions featured in this form will help us understand how and where our resources are being used. Your feedback is very beneficial to the development and funding of future resources.
