Report highlights the need for the Government to prioritise and invest in the prevention of men's violence against women and girls

Today's Home Affairs Committee report highlights the need for the Government to prioritise and invest in the prevention of men's violence against women and girls, to make our world safer for everyone. 

Chair of the Home Affairs Committee, Dame Karen Bradley said "If the Government is to truly address violence against women and girls it will need to deal with the root causes – this means investing in prevention and funding research into what works.”

This sentiment is reinforced by Campaigns and Policy Manager, Leyla Buran, whose key insights were included in today's report. Leyla said: "In the long term, funding for prevention is vital if the Government’s target of halving VAWG in a decade has a chance of being met."
