WHITE RIBBON DAY

November 25th

Every year, White Ribbon UK works around a theme that individuals and organisations use to raise awareness to the wider public about the inequalities faced by women and girls, and the need for men to be allies. The purpose of White Ribbon Day is to inspire positive action, especially by men and boys, to challenge harmful cultures and behaviours that perpetuate violence against women and girls.

WILL YOU #CHANGETHESTORY ?

White Ribbon Day 2023

Culture change doesn’t happen overnight, but we can end violence against women and girls in our lifetimes. This year, we are encouraging individuals and organisations to make daily choices and actions so that we #ChangeTheStory for women and girls to live their lives free from the fear of violence.

Violence experienced by women and girls takes many forms. Some behaviours and words may seem ‘harmless’ but normalising them ignores the short-and long-term effects on women, and can lead to more extreme violence.

Being allies with women every day shouldn’t be underestimated, even the smallest actions can affect big change.
